Google Earth Launches Virtual Telescope: SKY

There is no bound to the far reaching ability of Google to influence the world. Their latest venture, which opened for business today, a platform called SKY has gone beyond the street level maps and conquered space - as in that black thing above the smog that we know nothing about - and by 'we,' I mean the normal non-Stephen Hawking civilians like yourself and that cube-mate sitting 4.7 feet away from you.

Sky, which utilizes third party images to map out the universe, allows users to view and navigate 100 million stars and 200 million galaxies. Its the latest step in the the tubes bringing information to the people. Low entry cost, an infinite array of information. Not that any of us were going to start studying astronomy while bored at work, but,...eh, check out the demo below, its actually kinda cool.
